In preparation for her 95th birthday party, our client requested a plant refresh in her front yard garden. This very shady space was lacking color and was suffering from hydrophobic soil covered in plastic weed barrier. We amended the soil, installed more efficient irrigation, and replaced the plastic with a healthy layer of wood mulch to naturally minimize weeds, help retain moisture, and condition the soil. We didn’t modify any of the existing hardscape, but did bring in some beautiful boulders to enhance year-round interest. We selected shade loving plants with interesting foliage and varied bloom times to ensure our client will find color and interest every time she looks out the window.

Laura transformed a very drab yard into a place of beauty. She was a delight to work with. Her vision, execution, and follow-up was wonderful. The work was done on time, and as promised, and now is being very much enjoyed. She has even checked a few times to make sure the plants were doing well, and they are.
